Abstract. Agustine R, Muzayyanah MAU, Putra ARS, Baliarti E. 2023. Utilization of farmer priority on local beef cattle development strategy in Central Java, Indonesia. Biodiversitas 24: 508-515. Indonesian cattle, Peranakan Ongole (PO), is essential breed predominantly raised by smallholder farmers Java Province. Although it generally perceived that raising PO not a regular source income for the majority farmers, however, there are few specific studies investigating aspects and motives to keep their cattle. Therefore, this study designed explore perspective leaders Indonesia, toward livelihoods. We selected Blora, Klaten, Grobogan, Rembang as representatives involving 29 with at least ten years experience. Analytic Hierarchy Process was employed decision-making instrument understand better various used farmers. The results show consider investment function primary goal all areas.
